Your pet requires immediate emergency care if they show symptoms such as breathing difficulties, seizures, severe injury, uncontrolled bleeding, unconsciousness, severe vomiting or diarrhoea, or an inability to walk or urinate. If your pet is showing any of these signs, please call us immediately for guidance.

Q: What should I do if my pet ingests something toxic?

If you suspect your pet has eaten something harmful, contact us at 6636 1788 (Bedok) or 6565 1788 (Balestier) immediately. Provide as much detail as possible, including what your pet ate (brand and ingredients if available), how much and when it was consumed. If you can, it is also best to bring a sample of what your pet ingested to the clinic to help us assess the safest treatment.

Dr Nicholas Woo

Consultant Vet and Surgeon in Singapore

BVSc (Hons)MANZCVS (Small Animal Surgery)

Dr Nicholas Woo is a veterinary surgeon with over a decade of experience in small animal surgery, oncology and advanced veterinary care. After graduating from the University of Queensland, he completed specialist internships at Queensland Veterinary Specialists and Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre, where he received extensive training in complex surgical and cancer cases. He later returned to Singapore and founded Advanced Vetcare in 2017.

His surgical interests include oncology, reconstructive surgery, orthopaedics, total hip replacements, and spinal surgery. He is currently exploring the use of microvascular surgery to expand organ reconstruction options for cancer patients.
